Arnold Company recently made an impression on the attendees of the 125th Annual Grain and Feed Association of Illinois’ convention and trade show held in Peoria, Illinois, on February 18-20.
This was a special year for GFAI. In February, they celebrated their 125th Annual Convention and Trade Show. For each of those 125 years, it has been their goal to provide a place for the industry, under one roof, to reconnect and share information, ideas, products and services … and this year proved no exception.
Arnold Company’s HTO on the Convention Floor
There were plenty of special activities, shows and demonstrations at the event but few would argue that one of the highlights on the trade show floor was seeing the Arnold Company’s new hand-held, air-powered Hopper Trailer Opener. This first-of-its kind, show-stopping product is literally a game changer, forever changing the way grain operators open hopper trailer gates. Scott Dressler, Arnold Company Sales Manager, says it was one of the most well-received presentation weekends he’s ever been a part of. “There were literally hundreds of people in the industry expressing their interest,” he said. “The HTO literally changes normal operations for the better. It’s a safer, more reliable and productive way of opening hopper trailer gates.”
And what an amazing time to introduce this new and exciting piece of technology. The GFAI annual convention was a huge celebration of its past. One of the highlights included a GFAI history display area, with plenty of photos, memorabilia and collectibles from old elevators on display during the trade show. The GFAI even built a replica of what grain elevator offices used to look like. The replica from Harris Industry in Atwood, was also on display for GFAI’s centennial celebration.
There was also a great lineup of speakers, including some motivational speakers. A banquet with some great entertainment was also held. The Chicago-based improv group Second City also performed.
