Our lightweight tank car bottom outlet cap (a.k.a. “belly cap”) wrenches, designed to increase overall safety and reduce operator fatigue, are specifically engineered for belly caps on tank cars that carry flammable liquids, including but not limited to crude oil and ethanol.  Our wrenches feature non-sparking aluminum or bronze jaws and an aluminum handle.

At 36″ in overall length*, the operator can easily apply enough leverage to open most bottom outlet caps.  These wrenches are much lighter than other alternatives with either all aluminum jaws or non-sparking brass jaws. In addition, the patent pending replaceable offset cam and upper hook design provides increasing clamping power as more pressure is applied, allowing the jaws to maintain a secure grip.
