Learn how your company can participate in Stand Up 4 Grain Safety Week from March 29-April 2, 2021.
Support an Industry-Wide Mission for Safety
‘Stand-Up’ Week began in 2017, initiated by OSHA Region 7 and the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) Great Plains Chapter. The Alliance has since grown to include the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA), OSHA, GEAPS, and the Grain Handling Safety Council (GHSC).
Together, they promote the mission to act toward preventing accidents and injuries in the grain storage and handling industry. Year after year, employee injuries and deaths from preventable hazards in grain storage and handling remains an unfortunate reality across the industry. The Alliance encourages companies to contribute small changes in their workplaces that make a big impact on safety overall.
Companies interested in participating can organize events, workshops and resources based around one of the focus topics throughout the week dedicated to Stand-Up. The content they submit can earn them recognition for their efforts to prevent accidents.
Plus, #StandUp4GrainSafety continues trending online industry-wide with Feed & Grain posting grain safety tips, NGFA premiering safety precautions and other equipment insights, and much more.
